Tuition and Pricing

Honest pricing up front. No surprise conversations at the tour. Gifted and Talented Kids is a private licensed preschool, not a 3-K for All or Pre-K for All site, so tuition is paid monthly.

Extended Hours

Early drop-off from 8 AM and late pickup until 6 PM are available at $40 per hour. We recommend scheduling these at enrollment if you need them consistently, rather than on a drop-in basis.

Payment Schedule

First month's tuition is due 2 weeks before your child's start date. Subsequent months are due on the first of each month. We accept check, ACH bank transfer, and major credit cards (3 percent processing fee applies to credit card payments). Written invoices are provided for families who need receipts for employer dependent care FSA or tax purposes.

Deposits

There is no fee to join our waitlist. When you confirm enrollment, we ask for a $200 refundable deposit to hold your child's spot. This deposit is fully refundable if you withdraw before 30 days prior to your start date. It is applied toward your first month's tuition at enrollment.

Comparison to NYC 3-K and Pre-K for All

NYC 3-K for All and Pre-K for All are free programs administered by the NYC Department of Education. They are an excellent option for many families. We are a private alternative for families who want:

If 3-K for All is right for your family, we encourage you to apply. We are a complementary option, not a replacement.

Why a Center Costs More Than a Home Daycare

Brooklyn parents often tour a home daycare first, then visit a licensed center, then come back to compare. Here is what tends to come up.

A licensed group setting at 16 McGuinness gives you four age-grouped classrooms, a Director with fifteen plus years in early childhood education, OCFS staff-to-child ratios, and a dedicated outdoor walking routine to McGolrick Park. A home daycare typically runs out of a residential setting with one or two providers and a smaller mixed-age group. Both options are valuable to different families. The pricing reflects setup, capacity, and credentialed staffing differences.

Is Our Tier Right for Your Family?

Honest read. If you are choosing between rent and daycare tuition this year, free NYC 3-K for All is built for exactly that situation, and we encourage you to apply. If $3,200 a month is a real stretch on your household budget, our private rate may not be the right fit this year, and that is okay. You can join our waitlist for a future year, or for After School Enrichment if your child is older.

If a Premium tier is in your range, here is how our pricing actually plays out for the first year of enrollment:

If you want to walk through your specific situation, request a 15 minute video call with Director Susanna Isakova after joining the waitlist. No obligation.

Financial Aid and Payment Plans

We are a small private program, so large-scale financial aid is not something we offer. For families where tuition is a stretch, we can work out a bi-weekly payment schedule rather than monthly lump sum. If you have a dependent care FSA through your employer, our tuition is eligible. We can provide receipts and tax IDs as needed.
