How Many Children in the Room

Most centers answer this at the tour, quietly, after you ask twice. Here it is up front.

6

Ages 2 to 3

One teacher and an assistant

Six is the whole room. It stays six next year, so the group your child starts in is the group your child finishes in.

10

Ages 3 to 4

One teacher and a helper

Ten children and two adults in the room all day. Nobody spends the morning waiting for a turn to be noticed.

40

The whole school

Four rooms, one Director

Forty children in the building, not forty on this floor. Susanna knows all of them by name, which stops being true somewhere around a hundred.

These are the owner’s numbers, not a marketing target. They don’t move as we fill up.

A warm, naturally lit early learning room with low shelves and open floor space.

Our Philosophy

At our Greenpoint daycare, we believe every child is gifted in their own way. Using Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences approach, we Discover each child’s unique strengths, Develop them through purposeful play and learning, and help them Shine with confidence. We are committed to supporting each child’s developmental journey, academically, socially, and emotionally.

Led by Experience

Our center is led by a director with over 15 years of experience working with children. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education.

About Us

We focus on creating a warm, supportive atmosphere where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged. Through age-appropriate activities, positive guidance, and strong partnerships with families, we strive to help every child reach their full potential, academically, socially, and emotionally.

Photographed at 16 McGuinness Blvd S in August 2026, after the build. The rooms are real and you walk them at the Open House from the first week of November. Furniture and rugs are drawn in the way each room will be set up for opening. The real rooms stay close to bare until the health department is done with us, because the inspector measures floor area and every piece counts against the number of children we can take.

The deposit comes back in full if you withdraw more than 30 days before your start date, and it goes toward your first month when you enroll.

Safety First

Parents ask about the door before they ask about the curriculum. That part first.

You get seen before the door opens

A camera covers the entrance. Whoever is at the desk sees who is standing there, and the lock stays shut until they do.

Two locked doors, one after the other

Both run on electronic locks. From the inside you press a button and walk out. From the street you don't.

Three barriers before the sidewalk

A child who slips out of a room still has two more doors and an adult in between.

Push bars on the exits

In an emergency the door opens with one shove. No key. No code.

New doors, new hardware

Every door in the space is new. They went in during the build.

Staff you can check

Background checks on every hire. CPR and first aid before a teacher is ever alone with children.

Cameras run inside the center for our staff. We don’t stream classrooms to a parent app.
