Little Explorers. Ages 2 to 3

Our Little Explorers program is designed for children ages 2 to 3. This is the age when everything feels new. Our job is to make the day feel safe enough that curiosity takes over.

What Your Child Does Each Day

Morning circle with songs and greetings. Sensory stations with water, sand, playdough, and textured materials. Story time in small groups. Outdoor play at McGolrick Park, a four minute walk, weather allowing. Quiet rest after lunch. Afternoon creative play until pickup.

Why Ages 2 to 3 Need Something Different

Toddlers are not small preschoolers. They need shorter activities, more transitions, more sensory input, and more one on one comfort. Our Little Explorers room is staffed and designed around this reality.

Small Groups. Predictable Routines

We keep group sizes small to give every child the attention they need. Routines stay consistent day to day so children can predict what comes next. Predictability calms nervous systems at this age.

Located at 16 McGuinness Blvd S, Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Step free entrance. Bus pickup available for an added monthly fee. Join the waitlist for priority enrollment for opening.

This room holds six children with one teacher and an assistant, and the first six families keep their rate flat for twelve months.

Hold a Place in Little Explorers

Joining the waitlist is free. Takes about 30 seconds. When you're ready to commit, after you talk with Director Susanna and accept a place, a $500 refundable deposit holds your child's spot in this room. Withdraw more than 30 days before your start date and you get it back in full. Enroll and it goes toward your first month's tuition. If we don't open on schedule, you get all of it back.
