What ages does Gifted and Talented Kids serve?
Daycare and preschool serve ages 2 to 6 across three programs. Little Explorers (2 to 3), Bright Minds (3 to 4), G and T Ready (4 to 5). After School Enrichment is a separate program for ages 5 to 7.
When do you open?
Fall 2026 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn at 16 McGuinness Blvd S.
How do I join the waitlist?
Visit our waitlist page. First 15 families get priority enrollment and locked Year 1 pricing. No deposit required to join. Takes about 30 seconds.
Is there a deposit to join the waitlist?
No. Joining the waitlist is free and requires no deposit. A refundable deposit is only required after you tour and accept a placement offer.
How much does daycare cost?
Full-day tuition starts at $2,700 a month, after-school from $2,200, tiered by age. Full breakdown here.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes. 10 percent off for 2 enrolled siblings, 15 percent off for 3 or more.
What hours are you open?
Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Early drop-off from 8:00 AM and late pickup until 6:00 PM available at $40 per hour. After School Enrichment runs 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Do you accept 3-K or Pre-K for All vouchers?
We are a private program, not a 3-K for All or Pre-K for All site, so we do not enroll through the free city programs. We offer our own sibling discount and Founding 15 priority.
What is your teaching approach?
Howard Gardner Multiple Intelligences. Every child has different strengths. We Discover them, Develop them, and help kids Shine with confidence. Small groups, purposeful play, outdoor time, and individualized planning.
Is the program bilingual?
English is our program language. We are not a bilingual or dual-language program, and we do not run a structured second-language curriculum. Children who speak another language at home are warmly welcomed and supported.
Do you prepare kids for the NYC Gifted and Talented test?
G and T Ready families can opt into NYC G and T testing support, but our core curriculum is designed for whole-child development rather than test preparation only. Read more on G and T testing prep.
Where is Gifted and Talented Kids located?
16 McGuinness Blvd S, Brooklyn NY 11222. Corner of McGuinness Blvd and Broome St in Greenpoint. Walking distance to the G train at Greenpoint Avenue.
Do you provide meals?
We provide water and a nut-free snack daily. We do not provide lunch or hot meals. Our kitchen is not licensed for food service, so families pack a lunch. We accommodate common allergies, and families with specific dietary needs can speak with us.
Is there outdoor play?
Yes. Daily outdoor time at McGolrick Park (a 4 minute walk) and a dedicated outdoor play area at our facility.
Do you offer summer programs?
We are not running a summer camp in 2026. We open in Fall 2026. Any future summer program will be announced to waitlist families first.
Can I tour before enrolling?
Yes. Hard-hat preview tours are available for waitlisted families during construction. Regular tours begin mid-summer 2026 as the space is completed. Tour info here.
Who is the director?
Susanna Isakova. 15 plus years in early childhood education. Greenpoint resident.
How many children per classroom?
Small groups, sized by age. We staff to New York State OCFS ratios: about 1 adult to 5 for 2-year-olds, 1 to 7 for 3-year-olds, and 1 to 8 for our 4 to 5 program. Each room has a lead teacher with support staff.
