Greenpoint is a bilingual neighborhood, Polish for generations and now increasingly Spanish. If you are looking at preschools here, the first question is usually how much of the day runs in a second language.
Three kinds of bilingual preschool

Where we fit. Gifted and Talented Kids is English-primary. We do not teach a second language, and your child will not leave us speaking Polish or Spanish. If a real second-language program matters to you, the first two models are the better fit, and we will gladly point you to good ones nearby.
How we support multilingual families
Many of our families speak Polish, Spanish, or another language at home, and we welcome that. Teachers learn the words a child uses for comfort and family, we treat a home language as something to be proud of, and parents are invited to share a song, a holiday, or a food tradition with the class.
How we compare
- Polish-heritage preschools. They commit to Polish fluency for Polish-speaking homes. If that is your goal, they are your best fit.
