Bright Minds. Ages 3 to 4

Bright Minds serves children ages 3 to 4. This is the age of endless questions. Why does the moon follow us. Where does rain come from. What happens when you mix red and blue. Our job is to turn those questions into projects, and projects into learning that sticks.

Multiple Intelligences in Action

Some children learn by talking. Others by moving. Others by drawing or building or sorting or singing. Bright Minds uses all eight of Howard Gardner's intelligence types. A single theme like "weather" becomes a song, a painting, a sorting game, a story, and a trip outside to feel the wind.

Project Based Days

Instead of worksheets, we run short projects that last anywhere from one morning to two weeks. Children choose their level of involvement. A child who wants to build the tallest tower works with blocks. A child who wants to tell the story of the tower works with a teacher and a picture book.

Ready for Pre K and Kindergarten

By the end of Bright Minds, children are comfortable with letters, numbers, patterns, and the social give and take of group learning. They leave ready for Pre K or kindergarten anywhere in New York City.
