Most preschool openings happen behind the curtain. Marketing photos arrive after the doors open, parents tour a polished space, and nobody sees what was actually built or how. We went the other way and showed the whole thing while it was loud, dusty and unfinished.

It is finished now. The ground floor at 16 McGuinness Blvd S, the corner of McGuinness and Broome Street, is a preschool.

Two things are still open, and in the spirit of the rest of this page, here they are. Two health department inspections are still ahead of us, and until they are done the rooms stay close to bare on purpose. The inspector measures floor area, and every table standing in a room counts against the number of children we are allowed to take. Furniture, shelves and equipment go in the week after she signs. We open in January 2027.

Come See It

The best way to judge a space is to stand in it. Walk through all four program rooms with Director Susanna Isakova and ask anything before you decide between Greenpoint daycare options. Bring your child. No presentation, just the rooms. Come to the Open House, one day every week from November.

What We Built

Four program rooms, one for each age group, with built in storage in each. A prep area for the daily nut free snack and water, families pack lunch. A ground floor entrance with wheelchair access, which matters more than people expect when you are carrying a toddler and a bag. Kid safe finishes throughout. Outdoor stroller storage. McGolrick Park is a short walk away and it is part of how we use the day.

What We Said We Would Not Do

We said we would not photoshop progress, and we did not. When a phase ran long, the email said so. When something had to be redone, we said that too. Plenty of preschool openings run on aspirational photos and arrive late. We would rather you started this relationship knowing exactly what you were told and when.
