Greenpoint is getting a new daycare. Gifted and Talented Kids opens at 16 McGuinness Blvd S in January 2027, on the corner of McGuinness Boulevard and Broome Street. We built a premium early childhood center for ages 2 through 6, grounded in Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory.

What Makes Gifted and Talented Kids Different
Most daycares in Brooklyn follow a single curriculum model. We take a different approach. Our philosophy is built on the idea that every child is gifted, and our job is to find out how.
Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences framework identifies eight types of intelligence: linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. Traditional preschools focus heavily on the first two. We develop all eight.
What this looks like in practice:
- Each child is observed and assessed across all eight intelligences during their first weeks.
- Teachers create individualized learning paths based on each child's strengths and growth areas.
- Daily activities rotate through music, movement, art, language, math, nature, and social learning.
- Progress is tracked through our Discover, Develop, Shine framework and shared with parents quarterly.

Our center is at 16 McGuinness Blvd S, Brooklyn, NY 11222, at the corner of McGuinness Boulevard and Broome Street. The building is currently being renovated into a purpose-built early childhood space.
The location is convenient for Greenpoint families:
- A four minute walk from McGolrick Park, one of Greenpoint's best green spaces
- Walking distance from the Nassau Avenue G train station
- On the B43 and B62 bus routes
- Street parking available on McGuinness and surrounding streets

We will offer optional bus pickup for families in Greenpoint and surrounding neighborhoods, for an additional monthly fee. Routes, schedules, and pricing will be shared with enrolled families before the school year begins.
Meet Our Director
Gifted and Talented Kids is led by Susanna Isakova, who brings over 15 years of experience in early childhood education. Her background spans classroom teaching, curriculum development, and center administration. Under her leadership, our programs are designed to meet each child where they are and help them grow at their own pace.

Funding and Vouchers
We are a private program, not a 3-K for All or Pre-K for All site, so we are not part of the city's free programs.

Why Greenpoint Needs Another Daycare
The numbers are simple. Greenpoint has more young families than daycare seats. The neighborhood's population of children under 5 has grown steadily, but the number of licensed childcare centers has not kept pace. Waitlists at existing programs are long. Parents often start searching 6 to 12 months before they need care.
